Morningstar News: “Brandywine Homes Begins Vertical Construction at Lotus Court, a 13-Townhome Community in Monrovia, Calif.”

Brandywine Homes has begun vertical construction at Lotus Court, a new community offering 13 townhomes on Duarte Road near Station Square, a newly revitalized transportation hub in Monrovia, Calif. Residents will have access to a new Foothill Gold Line transit stop at Duarte Road and Myrtle Avenue, just steps away from the development.

“We are very excited to be starting construction at Lotus Court,” said Dave Barisic, vice president of sales and marketing at Brandywine Homes, a pioneer of infill development in Southern California. “With family-focused floor plans and close proximity to the new Gold Line stop at Monrovia Station, we are confident these homes will be highly sought after.”

Completed in September 2015, Monrovia Station is part of the Foothill Gold Line from Pasadena to Azusa. It is located next to the historic Santa Fe Depot, which the city of Monrovia plans to redevelop for public use as part of the overall Station Square Transit Village development, a hub of interconnected residential neighborhoods, commercial buildings, office and hospitality uses offering pedestrian-friendly public spaces and transportation alternatives.

Brandywine is building 13 three- and four-bedroom townhomes ranging in size from 1,555 to 1,705 square feet with private yards, full side-by-side garages, Spanish-inspired architecture, stainless steel appliances and solid-surface counters. The stucco, three-story townhomes with tile roofs are being built around an existing historic landmarked home built on the site in the early 1900s. The neighborhood will include a central recreation area.

Brandywine Homes is the general contractor for the project, which is expected to be complete this summer.
