Mar. 04, 2016
Many Townhomes in 3.96-Acre Community Will Be Located Directly on Golf Course with Spectacular Views
WHITTIER, Calif. – March 4, 2016 – Brandywine Homes has closed on a 3.96-acre parcel located adjacent to the Candlewood Country Club golf course in Whittier, Calif. Brandywine plans to build a 53-townhome community.
“What makes this community special is its location on the golf course at Candlewood Country Club,” said Dave Barisic, vice president of sales and marketing at Brandywine Homes, a pioneer of infill development in Southern California. “Finding a new home community in an existing neighborhood with these kinds of built-in amenities is rare.”
The two- and three-story townhomes, ranging from 1,400 to 2,100 square feet, will have three bedrooms and two and a half baths. Many of the homes will be located on the golf course, offering spectacular views. The community will include a recreational building, a Jacuzzi, a bike-storage area and a community garden.
The community will be located at 13900 Telegraph Road in Whittier next to the Candlewood Country Club, a private, member-owned community with a golf course featuring unique natural terrain with rolling fairways and magnificent water features and landscaping. Located just 25 minutes from downtown Los Angeles and a half hour from Orange County and the beach communities. Candlewood Country Club is 10 minutes from the 5 and 605 freeways.
Located about 12 miles southeast of Los Angeles, Whittier is home to 405 professional services, 517 retail stores, 193 family-type restaurants and 35 manufacturing plants. PIH Health Hospital, Interhealth Corp. and Community College Rio Hondo are the city’s top employers. With a population of 86,965, the city is growing at a 2.51 percent rate and has an average household income of $83,053.
