Feb. 23, 2015
Development Close to Excellent Schools, Shopping and Recreation Will Significantly Improve Existing Neighborhood
YORBA LINDA, Calif. – February 23, 2015 – Brandywine Homes will break ground in February on Provence, a 3.24-acre community with 28 single-family homes located at 5050 Richfield Road in Yorba Linda. Homes are expected to go on the market in November 2015, and the development is expected to be complete in May 2016.
“We are extremely happy to be so close to breaking ground on another new community in one of the most sought after areas in Orange County,” said Dave Barisic, vice president of sales and marketing at Brandywine Homes, a pioneer of infill development in Southern California. “Yorba Linda is a city where it is common for several generations of the same family to reside, and we are excited to be providing those families with additional options when carrying on that tradition.”
The urban infill community, located near the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, is being built on a site that once held older single-family homes in the affluent Orange County suburb that has seen population increase by 13 percent since 2000. Provence will include a tot lot, a community park and ample parking, with 3.5 parking spaces per home. The three- and four-bedroom homes will range in size from 1,800 to 2,000 square feet.
Provence is located near Covington, another Brandywine infill community with 51 townhomes that is expected to be complete in spring 2016. The approximately 1,750- to 2,100-square-foot townhomes at Covington will include gourmet kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, and residents will have access to common amenities including a recreation center, a community meeting room and a pool.
Yorba Linda, an affluent suburb in Orange County, is the birthplace of former President Richard Nixon. Yorba Linda High School opened in 2009, and several of the district’s schools have received the California Distinguished School award. The city’s population has grown by 13 percent, to 66,735, since 2000.
According to the National Association of Home Builders’ formula to determine the local impact of single-family housing in typical metro areas, adding 28 single-family homes will generate $6.2 million in local income, $616,000 in taxes and other revenue for local governments and 91 local jobs.
